It’s amazing how easy some days are. I think the hardest day was actually the afternoon of day 1. Anticipating my first night without wine gave me major anxiety. And then soon enough the evening was over and everything was fine.
Last night I finally slept straight through until the dog woke me up to go out at 5am. That’s a great night’s sleep for me since I usually wake up at 3 or 4 and can’t get back to sleep for at least an hour.
I do feel anxious when I think about never drinking wine again. But then I just push the thought out of my mind and focus on something else. I’m not sure if this is the healthy way to deal with it, but for now it’s working.
