Day 110: something new


I’m the one in purple.

I like trying out new things. And this no-drinking project has been causing me some anxiety, so I’ve decided to try out mindfulness. I borrowed an eight week audio course that promises to change my brain function so that I can live a zen life, like the guy in the middle.

So far I’ve listened to the introduction and enough of the first lesson to know it involves eating a raisin. 😋

Stay tuned. I’m thinking it should pair well with the yoga. 🧘‍♀️

Some gratitude for today…

no crazy wine cravings.

an easy work week ahead.

a husband who willingly cooks.

  1. The second yoga sutra is yoga Chitta vritti nirodhaha
    Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.
    The quieting of anxiety and worry. The being ok with what is.

    It is a lifelong practice, but it truly works. And it includes all the parts of yoga. Breath, moving, meditation.

    It sounds like this will be a great addition to your toolbox.
